During the 2020-2021 Season, City Singers Youth Choirs is partnering with wonderful professional musicians on a project designed to help us not just survive the pandemic, but thrive. Winter Album Project will be an extraordinary collection of jazzy-pop, folksy-blue, youth-choir-soaring winter and holiday tunes. If you love Vince Guaraldi’s ACharlie Brown Christmas, then this is the album for you! Anticipate favorites and originals as well as lesser known gems from around the world and across the ages. The album will be recorded using a structure which can be adapted to health and safety requirements. If we can record in groups, we will. If we have to record remotely, we can. Thanks to cell phone technology, the average teenager carries a recording studio right in the pocket!
If we are limited to remote meetings, enrolled singers will benefit from regular one-on-one singing and music instruction, in addition to group instruction.
