President Thomas Neuhaus, Pinnacle Associates

Thomas joined the CSYC board in 2024 after wife, Ann (CSYC Treasurer) and daughter, Lauren (CSYC Alumnus Intern) told him how FUN it was! Thomas brings to the board a wealth of experience in the business world as a portfolio manager for Pinnacle Associates.

Treasurer Ann Neuhaus, Aleph Bet Chabad

Ann had volunteered for City Singers Youth Choirs for many years as a photographer and choir mom; her daughter, Lauren, now serving as CSYC Alumnus Intern, sang with the choir during her high school years.

Secretary Jaime Eaglin Moore, M.D., M.S.,Virginia Commonwealth University, VCU Health

Dr. Moore is an otolaryngologist and laryngologist, receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, and completing a residency in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University.  She was a fellow in laryngology and care of the professional voice at the Drexel University, where she studied under Dr. Robert Sataloff, and she completed a master’s degree in Clinical Research and Biostatistics at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has authored numerous publications and is an editor for the Journal of Voice and ENT Journal.  She is an associate professor in VCU’s Department of Otolaryngology, affiliate professor in the Department of Music and medical director of speech language pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Board Member Kimmothy Cole, US|wild|THEMS

Kimmothy Cole is an educator, organizer and creator living in central Virginia. Cole has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, an endorsement in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (Virginia), is a certified Embodied Social Justice practitioner. They have 20 years of experience organizing intergenerational community in spiritual, educational and creative environments. They are the Director of Programming for US|wild|THEMS, an ability-inclusive intergenerational education community. Cole is an award-winning event producer and performer, offering programming locally and throughout the Southeast. Trained in consensus-based decision making, Cole teaches consent culture and meaningful conflict resolution at all ages. 

 

Board Member Cynthia Donnell, VCU Department of Music

Cynthia Donnell is an associate professor of voice and lyric diction for the Department of Music at Virginia Commonwealth University. A mezzo-soprano, her extensive experience as a soloist in recital, opera, choral, oratorio and orchestral song repertoire includes international and domestic tours throughout her rich career. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and has been an officer and board member in the NATS Virginia Chapter. 

Board Member Fonjenik Turner, Bon Secours Health System

A life-long lover of music and singing, Mrs. Turner first became involved with City Singers as a choir parent to an Elementary Choir singer. She joined the board in 2018 as her singer entered her 4th year in the choir. Mrs. Turner serves the Richmond community in her work with Bon Secours Health System, volunteering at Hanover County Public Schools and coaching youth basketball in Hanover County. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Board Member Melissa Richards, Homeschool Facilitator

President Emeritus Diane Woodruff, Chesterfield County Public Schools (retired)

A life-long music educator and church choir director, Diane believes in the mission of City Singers Youth Choirs and is grateful to promote and support a group of such excellence here in our community. Her interests other than music are quilting, swimming and walking, traveling, reading, playing golf, and spending time with her husband, adult children and friends.

THANK YOU! Retired board member Tom Kozusko, founder of CFO Professional Services, served as Treasurer of the CSYC Board of Directors for nine years, one of the longest-serving board members in CSYC history.  Tom concluded this role with us in May 2023, and the City Singers Board of Directors commends his dedication with heartfelt gratitude: we could not have gotten this far without you, Tom!

In Memoriam | We fondly remember our friend David Trace, who served on our Board of Directors since 2016 and brought to City Singers his passion for supporting youth organizations, and his own singer, Lilly, who graduated from CSYC in 2021. David supported youth organizations throughout his life as a volunteer, coach and board member. In addition, David brought varied technical and management skills and experience through his career in the electric utility, financial, retail and healthcare industries, where he worked in the engineering, technology, marketing, operations. underwriting and sales functions. David was a kind person and a good strategist, with cheerful energy who was wonderful to work with.  He passed from this life May 30, 2020.
